Thy Will Lord

Updated: Dec 28, 2025

Jesus Christ was rejected by all his earthly contemporaries, and any faith He had in the Will or Strength of this earthly body was subdued.

This ensured He could walk His last days on earth in victorious authority of the Lord God Almighty.

“And he said, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭9‬:‭22‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Must Suffer Many Things:

*rejected by the elders

*rejected by the chief priest

*rejected by teachers

*must be killed

**but on the third day be raised to life***

“For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭9‬:‭24‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Even Jesus had to lose his life to be able to FIND TRUE LIFE.

When Jesus was raised to life on the third day, He stepped into a life that could never be harmed again. It was a GLORIFIED life. He was finally one with God (again.)

We often feel rejected and persecuted by so many people in this world.

We also become frustrated with the limitations of our bodies.

These things can actually be a sign that we are being transformed into His likeness.

We are, in a sense, losing our old life, so that we can finally have TRUE LIFE.

Just think of the work we can do for His Kingdom when we finally lay down the need to please both early authority and our own selves.

Then we would be able to truly say “Thy will, Lord!”
