Why do we go into battle without inquiring of the Lord first?
When scripture makes it clear that the Lord is the best war strategist there is.
If you are facing a battle and have come to the end of yourself…
No idea of what to do next, yet you still desperately want to see victory…
Do what David did…he simply asked God,
1. If he should go into battle?
2. If he went into battle, would he win?
The Lord not only told him “yes” but He also gave him a battle plan.
He told him, “Do not go directly after them…circle behind and attack them in front of the popular trees.”
Then the Lord told him that when he heard the sound of marching in the tops of the poplar trees, that's when he should make his move, because that would be his sign that God was going before him.
So the Lord told him not only yes or no, but also how to do it.
Today, let’s take a small break from the battle and spend time inquiring of the Lord first.
Dear Lord,
Speak to our hearts today and show us if we should be fighting the spiritual battle that we see standing before us. And if so, make it clear to us the strategy you plan to use to win this war for us!
We know that the blood of Jesus gives us victory over every scheme of the enemy, and we call on the name of Jesus for our victory!
