Iron Sharpens Iron

“As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬


My beach-bestie friend gets me! She understands what's important to me.


No topic is off the table when we are together. We discuss the Bible, religion, relationships, real estate, home design & decor, philosophy, travel, politics, books, writing, teaching, world events, family, clothing, hair, health, and music.


We empower each other with our words and our hearts. We use our minds to reason and use our ears to listen intently to each other's concerns and ideas.


We don't judge, we love.


We are both entrepreneurs who focus on giving more to our communities than we take.


We love our husbands and we love our beach time!


She is the friend who can think for herself and still be open to supporting a new path.


She has had her own victories and gives sound advice to avoid pitfalls.


When I am with her, I grow, mature, and evolve into more of who I want to be.


To me, this is what the scripture means when it says, “Iron sharpens Iron.”


It's two friends; though they are strong in their own way, they help each other to be whittled into tools that have much sharper points, so they can be used more poignantly for the kingdom of God!
