WiseWoman Retreat

This is a still pic taken from the video Jeff posted last night of our new camper.

I don't know if I have ever seen so much of my story in one picture.

That day had been the longest. I had been packing all week at home, and traveled to Myrtle to pack even more.

I had to go shopping for things I had forgotten to bring, and both of our vehicles looked like a hoarding situation.

Jeff had worked relentlessly to get new tires for the current camper and to get the old, rusty slide-outs moving again, so that it could be road-ready.

Then, when he got it moved, we noticed how bad the parking pad underneath looked, so I proceeded to start pressure washing in the rain.

After that, we had to wait four extra hours than initially planned for the new camper to arrive!

When this picture was taken, it was 10:30 p.m. and I had just started unloading our vehicles.

I had come in out of the long, dark, rainy night into a beautifully bright, shiny, new, roomy place.

With my pink Kate Spade purse clutched tightly in my right hand, my Sparta laptop bag for real estate/social media work, and my personalized beach bag containing my Bible in my left hand, I was absolutely ready to step into my new blessing with the biggest smile on my face.

Knowing how long I have waited, worked, believed, and trusted the Lord for what I have prayed for, and having it now, makes all the hard days full of pain and tears fade into the background.

I can't thank the Lord and my husband, Jeff West, enough for this blessing!

I will be able to use this place to minister to my family and also to ladies who have come to the end of their rope. Ladies who are in the place where I was.

By God’s grace, I was able to overcome through the revelation of His Word, and so will they.

I suppose the best way to sum up how I felt at the moment this picture was taken is that I had stepped out of my past of longing and into the fruition of a life's work.

The path I have taken to get here can probably be explained best by the sign above my head…

“LIFE IS AN ADVENTURE; ENJOY THE RIDE!”

And so I will…Selah!
